The New Green

Regardless of what most uninformed people say, fur is actually green, sustainable and eco-friendly in many ways. The controversy comes when countries decide to not impose strict laws and guidelines for farmers/ranchers in their practices. Luckily, there are many countries that do care about these things such as Canada, United States and most of Western Europe to start...

Why is it green? Well, lets think about the material. Fur is delicate and has to be processed delicately in order to preserve its suppleness and condition, so no harsh chemicals are used in this process. Unlike synthetics which are used to make faux fur fabrics, real fur doesnt pollute the environment and is a biodegradable natural resource.

If you are searching for the most PC fur to wear and buy, go with rabbit. They are raised for food and when processed, the fur becomes a byproduct of this industry.

So there you go, a few uselful bits of information to help you better understand the other side of the fur vs. faux argument. Not everything is what it appears to be.
